Social Services and the Department of Health have launched a nationwide initiative to help people to fund their care and at the same time to allow choice in how their care is provided. This is called “Direct Payments”.
At Complete Care we are keen to help you with this initiative and welcome the opportunity to assist our clients in any way we can. Details of how the system works will vary according to the local Social Services department, the principles are similar. We will be happy to provide you with local advice.
Care which is funded by Social Services via the direct payments scheme will be subject to an “assessment of need” by a local social services officer in the same way as any other state-funded care. Once this has been completed social services may make an offer (via the Direct Payments scheme) to pay cash to you to help to pay for your care. You can then choose just how and where you want to buy your care.
This may be the traditional sort of help with getting up and meal preparation or alternatively it may be that by being creative we can offer other activities to make your care at home a worthwhile and positive experience.
Whilst Direct Payments may not work for everyone, we are happy to advise you on the best option to suit you. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information on Direct Payments and how to source them.
“Thank you for the great service you provide, for being so accommodating with my hours and for making sure that nothing is ever too much trouble. “
